Michael's Deep Anchor

Scripture 1

"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established."

- Proverbs 16:3

Reflection:  In this moment where your efforts are being noticed and potential blessings are on the horizon, this verse reminds you that by dedicating your work and intentions to God, you invite Him to guide your path. Your diligence is valuable, and by aligning your purpose with the Lord, you cooperate with His grace as He unfolds His plan.

Scripture 2

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer."

- Romans 12:12

Reflection:  Your excitement is natural, and so is your lingering nervousness. This verse encourages you to cherish hope with joyful anticipation, to hold steady if anxieties creep in, and to remain rooted in prayer. Each part—joy, patience, and perseverance—becomes a gift that shapes your response to God’s movement in your life.

Scripture 3

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

- Jeremiah 29:11

Reflection:  As you look forward to new opportunities and the wellbeing of your family, this verse offers reassurance that the Lord has always-welcoming plans for you. Whether things unfold as you desire or take a surprising turn, God’s vision for your future is grounded in hope and loving providence.

Your Anchor

Your journey to this moment has been shaped by steady effort, late nights, and love for your family, a beautiful act of faith in itself. Proverbs 16:3 invites you to entrust all you’ve done into God’s hands, turning your achievements not only into personal blessing but also into spiritual offering. When we direct our work toward the Lord, we discover that our ambitions are ennobled and our desires purified. Now, as you stand between excitement and nervousness, Romans 12:12 meets you at the crossroads of hope and waiting. This is a holy space, your heart is leaping at the possibilities, and yet you are wise enough to sense how vulnerable it feels to hope. Faith does not ask us to repress our longings, but to carry them honestly before God, patiently enduring whatever comes.

Persevering in prayer not only calms anxiety, it helps you see these transitions as opportunities for deeper trust. Jeremiah 29:11 seals this moment with God’s promise that He is at work for your good. The Lord’s plans are always wider and more loving than we perceive. This opportunity - so meaningful for your family and so affirming of your sacrifices - rests in His providential care. Whether this promotion comes or reveals another path, you remain cherished, called, and accompanied by God. Embrace this time with a spirit of joyful gratitude, an openness to God’s unfolding will, and a prayerful openness to be led where your gifts can most beautifully serve your family and others. May your gladness and your nerves alike become occasions of encounter with Christ, who desires your flourishing in every sense—temporal and eternal.

Carry This With You

No matter what comes, your hope and hard work are safe in God’s loving hands.

Devotional

Heavenly Father, I thank You for guiding my journey and blessing the work of my hands. As I look forward with hope and a bit of nervousness, grant me trust in Your plans and patience as I wait. May this opportunity bring joy to my family, and may I always honor You with my work and my heart. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
